Alex Stoddard
Alex Stoddard is a filmmaker, platinum-certified music producer, and former college basketball player from Wellesley, MA. At Williams College, he graduated as the school’s first ever Africana Studies major, earning the Gaius C. Bolin Award for his work on Black film and media representation, while competing in three NCAA tournaments as a member of the men’s basketball team. His debut feature, Sideline Story (2024), documented the realities of Division III college basketball, following his own team for a season.

His second feature, The Kid From Boston, tells the story of Terrence Clarke, a Boston basketball phenom whose life was tragically cut short. Having grown up playing AAU basketball alongside Terrence, Alex is uniquely positioned to tell his story and engage authentically with his family and community.
