Alexandra de Gonzalez

Alexandra is an award-winning multi-lingual filmmaker and video editor. She has more than 20 years of experience in production, post production, working as video editor, producer, and writer. As an independent documentary editor, she is able to fulfill her passion of creating engaging, compelling stories about art, theater, history, social justice, and our shared human experience. Her work has been featured on PBS, in museums, film festivals, and abroad. As a storyteller, she is working on a personal documentary about her mother, a former East German who escaped over the Berlin Wall in 1961. The film highlights the events leading up to her mother’s escape, and consequent move to the United States as well as her mother’s extraordinary struggle with Parkinson’s while filming.
