Beth Basa Pielert

Beth Basa Pielert is an award-winning producer, director, writer, and editor whose work explores cross-cultural collaboration, truth and reconciliation, and our relationship to place. She has produced and directed projects in partnership with organizations including Apple, Electronic Arts, IDEO, and PBS.

Her recent credits include producing and co-directing Salmon People: Preserving a Way of Life (Vision Maker Media / PBS / WORLD) and serving as writer and editor on Labors of Love: The Life and Legacy of Henrietta Szold, which won the Audience Award at the San Francisco Jewish Film Festival.

Basa is a recipient of grants from the Pacific Pioneer Fund, Women Make Movies, CAAM, and the BAVC Media Maker award, as well as the Rainier Screenwriting Fellowship. Her credits include The Corporation—winner of 24 international awards—and the award-winning documentary short Claiming the Title: Gay Olympics on Trial.
