Britney  Bautista

Britney Bautista is a Filipino-American director based in Brooklyn, New York whose inquisitive nature fuels her stories centered around social justice, feminist philosophy, and cultural identity. Her background in documentary and narrative filmmaking paired with her distinct visual style enables her to tell meaningful stories through moving images. After graduating from Pratt Institute with a BFA in Film/Video in 2023, she went on to direct a vast array of projects, including, documentaries, commercials, music videos, and branded content. Her work has been screened at festivals and theaters throughout the US, including AMC Theater Times Square and the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in California. She is a winner of Red Bull’s Establishing Shot Competition in 2024 and Dolby Digital’s Finish The Script Competition in 2022, and a recipient of the 2021 Against The Grain Artistic Scholarship and the 2019 Gordon Parks Foundation Scholarship. Her work is powered by her dedication to uplift underrepresented communities and spark social change by starting necessary, often uncomfortable conversations. Throughout her career, Britney aims to empower young Filipina filmmakers like herself and continue to defy the unjust standards of a male-dominated industry.
