Carter Stewart

An Atlanta native, Carter is a former presidentially-appointed United States Attorney for the Southern District of Ohio and former Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Northern District of California. He received his JD from Harvard Law School, an MA in education from Columbia University, and a BA in political science from Stanford University. He writes stories based on his experiences serving as a federal prosecutor under the Obama administration and working with adjudicated youth while in law school, exposing flaws in the criminal justice system from the inside. This is his first film project after successfully placing in multiple screenwriting competitions, including Tribeca Screenwriters of Color, American Zoetrope, and Scriptapalooza.
