Christen Slaughter

Christen Slaughter is a Chicago-based filmmaker, producer, and writer whose work explores culture, media and storytelling through a deeply personal lens. A Spelman College alumna with a degree in Economics and a minor in documentary filmmaking, she brings both analytical and creative perspectives to her work. With experience across independent film production, festival programming, and media development, her projects center on preserving cultural memory and amplifying underrepresented voices. Christen is a 2026 Diverse Voices in Docs Fellow with Kartemquin Films.
