Dan Goldes

Dan Goldes is a graduate of the San Francisco School of Digital Filmmaking. His feature documentary, 5 BLOCKS, about a San Francisco neighborhood undergoing its most dramatic change in 50 years, premiered at the 2019 San Francisco Green Film Festival before screening in Rotterdam, Istanbul, and other cities around the world. Dan has made several short documentaries, including “WAITER FOR LIFE,” about long-time waiters at San Francisco’s Scoma’s Restaurant; “OF GOOD HEART,” in which a Democrat and Republican recall how their upbringings – and current events – brought them into their political selves; and “ARRESTED (AGAIN)” about an activist who has been arrested more than 30 times for nonviolent civil disobedience. His films have screened at more than 100 film festivals worldwide. Dan has served on the screening committees for the Sebastopol Documentary Film Festival and the San Francisco Green Film Festival. He was in the Filmmaker’s Residency Program at San Francisco’s Ninth Street Independent Film Center.
