Jennifer Boyd

Jennifer is the founder of Boyd Productions, LLC, a documentary production company that prides itself on creating films that spark curiosity, connectivity and societal change. Her multilingual, female-led team has more than 20 years of experience in filmmaking, music television and journalism.

Jennifer has produced and directed more than 25 documentaries on topics ranging from climate change to gun control. Good Morning America has called her work “groundbreaking.”

Her most recent work is the documentary THE STREET PROJECT. Distributed through PBS International, and available in the USA on Amazon, Apple and other streaming platforms, THE STREET PROJECT is an inspiring story about a massive movement across the world to reclaim our largest public spaces, our streets. The film that takes viewers on a global journey to discover a better way of doing things.

Currently, she is directing and executive producing a 5-part series on the history of Las Vegas and a new surround sound film on the history of Mesa Verde National Park.

Jennifer was also co-creator of THE KATE, a public television music series filmed at the Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center. She has worked with a variety of artists on the show including Ana Gasteyer (SNL fame), Ann Wilson (Heart), Rickie Lee Jones, Jane Lynch (Glee) and Darlene Love.

Recently Jennifer’s company, Boyd Productions, has worked with NASA, Caltech, Lawrence Berkeley Labs, Argonne National Laboratory and other major research institutions to tell stories about how high-performance computing and big data are changing lives, and they’ve begun a new project on the early history of Las Vegas (to be released in 2019).

Her work has been written up in Rolling Stone, Playbill, USA Today, The New York Times, Billboard Magazine and more.

Jennifer graduated cum laude from the S.I. Newhouse School of Communications at Syracuse University.
