Jim Compton (Rising Day Media) is an Anishinaabe journalist, producer, writer, and director of documentaries, TV series and feature films. Spanning four decades, his productions URBAN NATIVE GIRL, a 13-part series examining Lisa Charleyboy’s searching to create an Indigenous infused native magazine and in the process deal with her troubled past; AMPLIFY, another 13-part series examining the creative process behind Indigenous songwriters; KAHAWI, AN INDIGENOUS MOHAWK LEGEND by Prima Ballerina, and Mohawk dancer Santee Smith, one off, one-hour documentary and KITOHCIKE – ONE WHO MAKES MUSIC, a recent award-winning documentary offering from RDM.
