Jing Wang
Jing Wang is a female, immigrant, multimedia artist. Her name “Jing” means “quiet” in Chinese. However, Jing has found her voice by speaking out loud in her artworks. Jing’s creative works focus on social justice and labor issues within the immigrant community. She developed her feature-length documentary RIDE WITH DELIVERY WORKERS while organizing the immigrant community to fight against the unjust hyper-policing and participate in the E-bike legalization campaign. The film also takes viewers inside activists’ efforts to respond and organize resistance and advocacy with workers. It truly was a journey for Jing to find her voice as an activist and an artist. The film is a 2023 Documentary Fund Grantees. Jing’s previous works have been exhibited in the Museum of the City of New York, at the Rooftop Film Festival, and at WNYC – The Greene Space. Her works were reviewed by the New York Times, Gothamist, World Journal, and China Press.
