Kapena Liu

Kapena is a Native Hawaiian filmmaker who made his directorial debut in 2023 with the film Blue Fish. He is influenced by his Hawaiian heritage and the complexities of modern Hawaii. His work was selected for the Sundance Institute Indigenous Program Intensive in 2024.
