Karla Claudio Betancourt

Karla Claudio Betancourt is a producer and multidisciplinary artist based in Santurce, Puerto Rico who graduated from the San Francisco Art Institute with a BFA in New Genres and Film. Working primarily in text, video, illustration and photography, her practice is guided by ethnobotanical research and Canjíbarx/Caribbean indigenous history and survival. She recently collaborated with Puerto Rican artist Jorge Gonzalez in his participation for group exhibition, Pacha, Llaqta Wasichay at the Whitney Museum of American Art in August 2018 and has had several shows at the Museum for Contemporary Art in San Juan.
