Marina Zenovich
Marina Zenovich is a two time Emmy award-winning filmmaker who has premiered four feature documentaries at the Sundance Film Festival. Her films have been widely praised for their powerful storytelling and their thoughtful, sensitive approach to a wide range of subjects.
Marina’s films include LANCE, a psychological portrait of cyclist Lance Armstrong (Sundance Film Festival 2020) and ROBIN WILLIAMS: COME INSIDE MY MIND (Sundance Film Festival 2018). She also directed the critically acclaimed documentary FANTASTIC LIES (SXSW 2016) about the Duke Lacrosse scandal and WATER AND POWER: A CALIFORNIA HEIST for National Geographic (Sundance Film Festival 2017).
Other recent projects include THE WAY DOWN: GOD, GREED AND THE CULT OF GWEN SHAMBLIN (2020/21) which became the most viewed docu-series ever on HBO Max and Roku’s WHAT HAPPENS IN HOLLYWOOD (2020). Upcoming projects include D.B. COOPER: WHERE ARE YOU?! (premiering July 13th on Netflix) and a feature documentary about legendary California Governor Jerry Brown.

Marina’s directing credits also include a range of imaginative and innovative shorter films. They include WHO IS BERNARD TAPIE? (Sundance Channel / BBC) about the French former politician convicted criminal turned actor and her fascination with him; INDEPENDENT’S DAY about the struggles of independent filmmakers set in Park City, Utah, and ESTONIA DREAMS OF EUROVISION! about the wacky world of Tallinn, Estonia as it prepares to host the Eurovision Song Contest. She has also made short films about Julian Schnabel, Takashi Murakami, Vanessa Beecroft, David Lynch and Robert Wilson, for the series ART IN PROGRESS.
Marina is a member of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences, the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, the Director!s Guild of America and the International Documentary Association.
