Maureen Kowsky

Maureen Kowsky studied English Literature at Fordham University and Interdisciplinary Creative Arts at San Francisco State University. She assisted Stephen Fisher with several environmental documentaries he produced in collaboration with PBS’ KTEH, San Jose, Ca. They are available on YouTube at Stephen Fisher Productions. In the early 1970s when LVO Cable began the first community access channel in the San Francisco Bay Area, Maureen was one of its first videographers. From 1975-1977 she shot WALK A GIANT STAIRCASE using 16mm color negative film. The negative and audio tapes were digitized in 2022 and the film will be completed digitally.
