Mirra Bank

Mirra Bank is an award-winning Director and Producer, known for her editorial work on the Academy Award-winning features, WOODSTOCK; and HARLAN COUNTY, USA; and on GIMME SHELTER, the iconic portrait of Mick Jagger and The Rolling Stones. She created films for such Emmy Award-winning PBS series as THE 51ST STATE and SESAME STREET; as well as for THE ORIGINALS: WOMEN IN ART; and WOMAN ALIVE!, among others. Features she produced and directed include the Academy-Award shortlisted, LAST DANCE; ENORMOUS CHANGES (Toronto and Sundance Film Festivals); THE ONLY REAL GAME (Netflix premiere); NOBODY’S GIRLS, (PBS special); and NO FEAR NO FAVOR, about protecting Africa’s wildlife. Bank is a member of The Academy (AMPAS) Documentary Branch; a past President and Advisory Board member of NY Women in Film and Television, and serves on the Board of The National Board of Review of Motion Pictures. She is a Lifetime Member of The Actors Studio.
