Pegi Vail

Pegi Vail is an anthropologist and filmmaker at New York University’s Center for Media, Culture and History and teaches documentary filmmaking in the Culture & Media Program. She produced the award-winning film GRINGO TRAILS (Icarus Films/Andana Films), about the effects of global tourism. As a curator, she has collaborated with arts and cultural institutions on public programs in NYC and internationally, including the American Museum of Natural History, the Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian, the Museum of Modern Art. She was a founding board member and curator for The Moth.
