Petrine Day Mitchum
Petrine Day Mitchum is an author and former Hollywood story editor and analyst for The Ladd Company, Pathe, TriStar Pictures and DreamWorks. She is an award-winning filmmaker whose short films (UNDER THE THINKING CAP, with artist Pippa Garner and Out of Gas, with Robert Mitchum and Jane Greer in a spoof of their film noir classic, OUT OF THE PAST) have appeared on Saturday Night Live! In 2018, OUT OF GAS was licensed by Turner Classic Movies. Petrine was a co-producer of STEWART/MITCHUM, TWO FACES OF AMERICA, a documentary about James Stewart and Robert Mitchum. The critically acclaimed feature documentary was licensed by Turner Classic Movies and debuted on the TCM Channel in January, 2019. The co-author of Hollywood Hoofbeats, The Fascinating Story of Horses in Movies and Television, (Fox Chapel, second edition), Petrine is well versed in the Western genre. She also co-wrote Nudie Cohn’s memoir with him in 1978 and has been following Western fashion and the evolution of cowboy culture ever since.
