Steve Marantz’s career in journalism and content creation spans 45 years. He has been a staff reporter at the Kansas City Star, Boston Globe, Boston Herald and Sporting News magazine, and a producer/researcher for ESPN. He has authored four books, all of which embrace the connections between sports and society at large. His most recent book is CITIZEN AKOY: BASKETBALL and the MAKING OF A SOUTH SUDANESE AMERICAN, about an African refugee who became a sports legend in Nebraska, published by University of Nebraska Press in 2019.
