Terrie Samundra

Terrie Samundra is a Director, Screenwriter and Producer who grew up between a rural village in India, a small farming town in Missouri, and along the coast of California. Her debut feature, the Netflix original film KAALI KHUHI, was released internationally in October 2020. Samundra’s films have screened internationally, garnering numerous accolades. In early 2022, Terrie wrapped the writers room for the second season of the international Netflix show, THE FAME GAME. Currently, Terrie is attached to write the series THE MOROCCAN GIRL for E One Entertainment; with Brillstein Creative Partners and Freebird Films attached to produce, Freida Pinto attached to star, and Emmy Winning director Richie Mehta attached to direct. She is an alum of the Sundance Institute Screenwriters Lab, the SFFILM Rainin Screenwriting Fellowship, the Sundance Women in Film Finance Lab and a Princess Grace recipient. She is a current fellow of ReFrame Rise, a partnership between Sundance and Women In Film. Samundra is a member of the Writer’s Guild of America, teaches screenwriting at AFI and is represented by the Gersh Agency and Circle of Confusion.
