0.4% is comprised of interviews with licensed Black women architects (Pascale Sablan, Dana McKinney White, Kaci Taylor), an emerging professional pursuing licensure (Teri Watson), and a student pursuing a master’s degree in architecture and future licensure (Johanne Damiscar). Each woman discusses their childhood, school experience, and architectural work. They speak about what it means and how it feels to be a Black woman in architecture and give their opinions on the 0.4%.

The structure of the film is divided into three parts, including the early years (childhood and initial interests in architecture), academic/professional years (college/grad school experiences, pursuing licensure, and working in the field as an architect), and present-day adventures (a professional and personal update from each woman since we last spoke in our 2021 interviews).
