LIVING CULTURE is an observational short documentary following Korean American mother-daughter duo Madalyn Warren and Ji Young Kim as they farm, ferment, and build a food business in New York’s Catskill Mountains.

Centered on their work with Kimchee Harvest, the film follows Madalyn and Ji Young through the changing seasons as they grow vegetables, make kimchi, and create spaces for their rural community to gather around food. Through their relationship and their work, LIVING CULTURE explores how traditions are carried between generations and how farming and fermentation can become acts of cultural preservation, food justice, and community care.
