This experimental biographical film follows Mary Overlie, postmodernist choreographer and philosopher, as she reckons with her fraught legacy in the wake of a terminal cancer diagnosis. Despite being known as a recluse, Mary welcomed the filmmakers into her inner world as collaborators in a uniquely intimate journey. The film will be equally from her and about her, swerving through forms of fiction and nonfiction, observation and creation, everyday movements and choreographed dance.
