TOGETHER DOWN, a documentary film by award-winning filmmaker, Scott Alexander Ruderman, follows adaptive ski coach Melodie Buell as she pushes for something deceptively simple: that people with disabilities be given the same opportunity to learn, progress, and be challenged as everyone else on the mountain.
Over the course of the film, we enter Melodie’s vibrant community of adaptive instructors and disabled students as they navigate frustration, trust, belonging, and the small breakthroughs that keep them coming back day after day, week after week, year after year. Through Melodie’s work, TOGETHER DOWN explores what equality in sport actually looks like when inclusion is measured not by participation alone, but by being given the chance to progress.
