When high school science teacher Dan Fried goes online each night, he challenges and inspires a unique community of kids from across the globe. He dreams of changing the world by training a new generation of scientists, transforming education in the process. A first-ever summer camp for these gifted students will test whether his passion is sustainable.
Elements of Change is a short documentary (approximately 20 minutes) that is intended for general audience distribution via online streaming (ex: NY Times OpDocs, Atlantic, New Yorker online channels) and specialty audience distribution via impact screenings at conferences, festivals, and symposia. We believe the film will energize and inspire tomorrow’s changemakers and those who nurture their vision and talents. The project shines a necessary light on the value of scientific understanding, educational innovation and showcases the potential of children and teachers to incubate the transformative ideas of tomorrow.
