Melanie Cedeño-Lopez is a journalist pursuing her MFA degree in Feature Film Production at University of Central Florida. She is from Cartagena, Colombia, and attended Universidad de La Sabana in Bogota, where she graduated with honors from her Bachelor’s in Journalism. She did an internship at NTN24, an international news channel based in Bogotá, New York, Madrid, London, Paris and Miami, where she worked as a Journalist and News Producer for two different TV shows. Before moving to the United States, she was the Commercial Director and Producer of Corporate Content at Cumbia Films, a production company based in Cartagena. She is currently developing her first feature length documentary. Her most-recent short documentary, LA BUENA COSECHA, is ready to start its film festival circuit and was made as a work sample for her feature film.
