Parker, a Loss Prevention Officer for a Big Box store, is struggling in his career and marriage. He feels that he has not lived up to his potential, a feeling exacerbated by his wife’s fixation on money and career. Parker’s true passion is screenwriting, but his dream is belittled by those around him, including Parker’s fellow Loss Prevention Officer – Frank – a blow-hard former cop.
Parker discovers that Aaron, a young store employee, possesses a psychic ability to detect deceit. Aaron lives in foster care and is well-read and highly intelligent, though he carries deep distrust of others due to a life of mistreatment.
Frank immediately concocts a plan to exploit Aaron’s psychic gift for money and pressures Parker to join the scheme. Parker must decide how far he’s willing to go to help his own career. Ultimately, he can’t resist asking Aaron questions of his own, a decision that exposes life-changing secrets.
